Welcome to the neighborhood BBQ, fellow queer, can I offer you a grilled meat and a cold one? We’re offering both, quite literally, at the newest iteration of our humble show, where you’ll be able to sample a smattering of truly unique performances and a full menu of food and cocktails. And don’t worry, the classic budget Beer/Shot combo is always on the menu.
Maybe the most thrilling feature of this Queers N Peers is our hotdog eating contest — a summer classic, with a Gay Twist. It isn’t about the size of your stomach in this Glizzy Gobblin’ Gauntlet, but instead, the size of your Mouth Hole. What does that mean? You’re gonna have to come to Dromedary (now officially under new Queer Management) to find out. Our hiatus is over and we’re so back!
xoxo

Meet the Performers
Mini q+as with the artists gracing our stage on July 18.
How would you describe the work you make as a performer?
La Daniella (she/her): Lamb Chop meets Iris Chacón
Roga (Sophia, Brice, EB): The work roga makes could be described as fresh and unique. Sophia’s poetry is visceral and the music and ambience Brice and E.B. incorporate with the spoken word is uninhibited so the sound we’ve created gets under your skin and stays in your mind.
Billie Bullock (they/them): I like to make people laugh, but also I love building community across different types of performance. As far as my comedy, I like talking about mental health, gender politics, and just trying to relate my weird brain to other folks through my humor.
Bri Joy (he/him): I’d describe my work as sexy, fun, and unpredictable. You never know if you’re getting a straightforward number or a thinker.
Vape Kid Jr. (he/she): As a drag artist I know surprisingly little about drag race or the national talents. I just can’t get excited about the reality TV of it all. I take so much more inspiration from the local scene. Before I started I was looking to talents like Klondyke, Cunty Ham, Amygdala, any Brooklyn weirdo, anyone doing something I hadn’t seen before. I try to bring that to my work. I follow what excites me and don’t sweat the conventions of the genre.
Recently, I performed a romantic sit-com number with my 5 foot puppet Courtney. In the text of the number Courtney is a parasite that survives by sucking my blood but its consensual. Afterward an audience member told me, “that was so funny but it wasn’t even really drag.”
That means I’m on the right track.
What’s a tasty thing you’ve eaten lately?
La Daniella: The Habesha Breakfast from Bunna Cafe in Bushwick!!
Roga: Sophia: Fish and Chips from a small cafe in a tiny town called Sekiu, Washington.
Brice: Dolly Parton Signature Cupcakes ;3
Billie: The other day I had a truly incredible lamb burger with garlic, scallions, and goat cheese. Really great.
Bri: The tastiest thing I’ve had lately is a Mexican rice dish I made for work. I’m really good at cooking.
Vape: A butt.
Do you know your sun, moon, and rising signs?
La Daniella: Aqua Sun ✨ Scorpio Moon 🦂 Leo rising 🦁
Roga: S: Yep! Scorpio sun, Pisces moon and Pisces rising.
B: Yes! Leo sun, Libra moon, and Cancer rising.
Billie: Cancer sun, Scorpio moon, Leo rising.
Bri: My sun is Cancer, moon is in libra, and rising is in Cancer
Vape: Leo Scorpio Scorpio
Are there any upcoming shows or projects you’d like to plug?
La Daniella: I’ll be at Hand in the Hole on Coney Island on Friday 7/19 @9pm! It’s a ways out but I’m excited: be on the look out 👀 for the premiere of “Gooey’s Toxic Aquatic Adventure” in 2026!
Roga: S: We’re determined to release our long awaited debut album this fall! People can follow us @rogatrio on instagram to keep up with other shows and the release of the album!
B: @Altimetry_music has an upcoming show at 18th Ward Brewery on August 8th! It will be fun! (It’s also Brice’s birthday)
Billie: My queer variety show, My Kinda Night! I curate it, host it and do standup. Next one is July 24 at Dromedary!
Bri: I’ll be performing in the fundraiser show for Missionary Woman, an all trans play, on July 24th in a secret location, and I’ll be twirling for Brat Summer on August 4th at Cmon Everybody!
Vape: In the 1980’s the US government created a top secret program code name: Operation Marionette. Posing as a public access children’s TV show á la Pewee Herman, this transmission was intended to brainwash children. Find out how deep the conspiracy goes in “Vape Kid’s Cool Zone” puppets-drag-violence- and Courtney The Pig Boy. Showing as part of exponential festival in January. In the meantime, catch me and Courtney at Cannabis Cabaret on Aug 17th.
What’s the sluttiest thing you can bring to a BBQ?
La Daniella: Pie.
Roga: Condiments ;3
Billie: The sluttiest food? Kielbasa Sausage. No one will shut up about that kielbasa when you whip it out.
Bri: The sluttiest BBQ item is definitely Hot Sausages. They’re also my favorite.
Vape: My guac. Everyone wants to have sex with my guac.
